| I began my career as a Fashion Illustrator mostly
because of my love of drawing people. I am fascinated by the endless variations of
movement and design that occur in the figure.
For years, these
wonderfully talented musicians have
endured my flashbulbs while they perform
because I wanted to paint them looking
like they do when they play or sing.
We have shared laughter and tears. They
have become friends.
Jazz is about movement.
Jazz is about expression, emotion, and
giving something very personal to a
piece of music. When I paint, I put
my favorite music on and, for a few
hours, I am lost in the magic of both
song and color.
